Cliff Vaz is a Managing Director in Citi's Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory franchise. He has been on the Global Energy team for the past 14 years with client coverage primarily focused on the upstream sector (investment grade and non-investment grade) with growing coverage responsibilities in the Clean Energy Transition space. Cliff is responsible for the day-to-day needs of his clients, as well as the origination, structuring, and syndication of debt and debt-related products such as Reserve-Based Loans and PDP ABS Financings. In support of the strategic needs of his clients, Cliff is also very active in the acquisition finance space providing committed financing for strategic situations in the form of bridge and backstop facilities, capital markets issuances, and acquisition/deal contingent hedging.

Before joining Citi, Cliff had a long technical career in Clean Tech, where he developed and co-authored 7 issued US Patents spanning the fields of Fuel Cells, Hydrogen Storage, and Batteries.

Mr. Vaz received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Iowa has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The College of Wooster and an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
